well Happy New Year 2018 and welcome to another two minute update last year we told you about the on-again off-again changes to the EEO one reporting form in August 2017 the Federal Office of Management and Budget halted these changes ing to OMB EEO Cs proposed EEO one data collection program lacked any practical utility was unnecessarily burdensome and failed to address employers concerns about security of their pay data and privacy issues in other words the additional pay and hours work data was intended to uncover evidence of gender and racial pay disparity but it wouldnt have enough detail to actually show pay discrimination simply put the administrative burden on employers outweighed any claimed enhancement to finding pay discrimination although the proposed new reporting form was scrapped the EEOC directed covered employers to submit the long used EEO one form for 2017 no later than March 31 2018 now this was the deadline originally proposed for the revised program the workforc
