A Work Order is a request to take some action (perform a task) on an item. The item may be on the current sale transaction at the register, or it may be a previously- purchased item. Work Order tasks may be organized into logically related categories.
Procedure. Highlight a work order on the main Work Order screen and click the Complete button in the Status section. The Completion Info screen displays.
Once a work order has been created, you can change it using the transaction Change Order (transaction code IW32) and display it using the transaction Display Order (transaction code IW33). You can see which compatible units were used to create it on the tab page Comp.
Order document in SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) for contract manufacturing. A customer uses a work order to contract a supplier to produce a particular quantity of a product and to deliver that quantity by a particular date/time or by various dates/times to the customer.
Note In SAP system, PM01 is the order type to perform Corrective maintenance and PM03 is to perform Preventive maintenance.
Procedure Highlight a work order you want to edit on the main Work Order list pane. The work order details are displayed in the details tab. Tap the Edit icon. The Edit Work Order screen displays. Fill out or edit all fields using either the drop-down menus or the on-screen keyboard. Tap Done to complete your changes.
Work Order Types An example of a general work order could be setting up new equipment in a production facility. Preventive maintenance work order: Preventive maintenance work orders are used to schedule routine maintenance work that needs to be done to keep equipment working at optimal conditions.
To look up a specific work order, use transaction IW39. In the Order status box, check the Outstanding, In Process and Completed boxes. In the Order selection box, put the work order number in the Order field and click on the execute button. This will take you straight to the work order.
Highlight a work order on the main Work Order screen and click the Action button at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, tap the Edit icon if you are in the detail screen of an individual work order to proceed directly to the Edit screen.
A work order is a document that assigns a service to be completed for a customer. An invoice is a document that provides an itemized list of the services provided and the charges for each.
