Create text replacements On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Keyboard in the sidebar. Click Text Replacements on the right. Click the Add button in the dialog that appears, type the text to replace (such as teh) and its replacement (such as the), then click Add. Click Done.
Open Microsoft Word on your Mac. Click or hover over the Edit tab found in the top toolbar. Click or hover over Find from the dropdown menu. Click Replace or hold shift + command + H on your keyboard.
Click Control Center in the sidebar, scroll down to Time Machine , then select Show in Menu Bar from the pulldown menu. Use the arrows and timeline to browse the Time Machine backups. Select one or more items you want to restore (these can include folders or your entire disk), then click Restore.
Find and replace text in a TextEdit document. In the TextEdit app on your Mac, choose Edit Find Find, then type text in the search field. You can also select text, then choose Edit Find Use Selection for Find.
On your Mac, open the document, then choose File Revert To Browse All Versions. Click tick marks along the timeline to browse versions. Display the version you want, then do one of the following: Restore your document to this version: Click Restore.
Replace found text Click. Click pop-up menu to the left of the search field, then choose Find Replace. Enter a word or phrase in the first field. Enter the replacement word or phrase in the second field. Use the buttons at the bottom of the Find Replace window to review and change the text matches:
To access find and replace: On iOS: On the action bar, tap the selection and commands button to the far left, and select the magnifying glass icon. On Mac: Select Edit Find Find.. from the main menu, or use the associated ⌘-F keyboard shortcut.
Make sure youre using the latest version of the app. If the keyboard shortcut uses a function key, you may also need to press and hold the Fn key or the Globe key on the keyboard to perform the shortcut (depending on your Mac model, if youre using a Magic Keyboard, and how you set an option in Keyboard settings).
