hello everyone this is Anson from Anson Alex calm and in this video Im going to show you how you can transfer ownership of a folder or document here in Google Drive I dont mean just give somebody edit permissions I mean transfer them the entire ownership which is great if you are going to be closing down your account but you still want somebody else to have access to the document and to be able to manage sharing so heres how we can do it in Google Drive from our documents list we need to find either the document or the folder that wed like to transfer ownership of once we find the folder a document we can right click on it and then we can go to share to open up the sharing settings now in order to transfer ownership we first have to share the document with a person that wed like to transfer it to and give them edit permissions so Ill just go ahead and Ill share this folder with webmaster at ants and Alex calm and Ill give them edit permissions so now Ill just click on the blue

The Save Emails Google add-on offers an option to overwrite existing files in Google Drive instead of creating a new file.
