The Excused status indicates that the student has been excused from making a submission. Students are not able to submit excused assignments and excused assignments are not calculated in the students total grade.
Select Submission Type In the Submission Type drop-down menu, select the type of submission you want to accept for the assignment. By default, the submission type will be set to Online.
Click the title of the section you wish to de-crosslist. From the sidebar on the right, select De-Cross-List This Section. In the dialog, click De-Cross-List This Section to confirm the change. The section will be moved back to its original course.
Click a course card to access that course. Click Grades in the Course Navigation Menu. Locate the student name and assignment where you want to change the status. Click the Gradebook cell, and click the Grade Detail Tray icon. The Status section of the Grade Detail Tray displays available status options.
Unsubmit/resubmit an assignment Sign in to Canvas. Open the course. Locate the assignment within the course and click to open. In the Assignment, click Open to attach and submit. Click Unsubmit. Click Unsubmit again in the pop-up to confirm. Re-submit your assignment as needed by following the instructions above.
Click Grades on your left-side course navigation menu. Click the gear icon to open up the Gradebook Settings. On the Late Policies tab, select the options that aligns with the late policy listed on your course syllabus.
Go to to Gradebook and click on the 3 dots next to the assignment name. Then click on Set Default Grade. Leave the grade value box empty check-mark Overwrite already-entered grades. Click on Set Default Grade. The assignment should now revert to not graded.
Cross-listing is the process of merging enrollments from two or more classes. Once the cross-listing process is complete, all common courses can be managed in the parent course.
