Hello Everyone. Welcome to Excel 10 Tutorial. In this quick tutorial Im going to show you how you can add strikethrough and remove a strikethrough in Microsoft Excel. This is easy function for Microsoft Excel but most of the time you dont know where to find it. So lets get started and Im going to add a strikethrough to all these seven cells and Im going to select them now Im going to click on this arrow button okay now if you click there this format cells dialog box will pop up and take a look at here effects and here you will find a strikethrough if you check mark this option and click OK and Done. You can see now all these seven cells has been strikethrough. So if you undo that option just click on this arrow again now uncheck this strikethrough option and click OK. How to Find Cells With Strikethrough in Excel Select any cell in the spreadsheet, then click the Home tab. Click Options, then click the Format button. Click the Font tab. Click Find All and a list of every cell that contains strikethrough text will appear at the bottom of the Find and Replace window.
To remove double-line strikethrough formatting, select the text, and then go to Home and select Strikethrough twice in the Font group.
So, there you have it. The next time you need to apply or remove strikethrough formatting in Excel, remember the shortcut keys: Alt+S to apply strikethrough and Alt+U to remove it.
On the keyboard, press Ctrl + F to open the Find and Replace dialog box, with the Find tab active. Click in the Find What box. On the keyboard, press Ctrl + J to enter the line break character.
Finding Strikethrough Leave the Find field blank. If necessary click the Expand button 🔽 Click the Format button select Font. In the Find Font dialog check the box for Strikethrough. Leave everything else as is. Click OK. Click Find Next. Alternatively, check the box for Highlight all items found in. Select Main Document.
Remove strikethrough added manually If you applied strikethrough via a shortcut or cell format, then press Ctrl + 5 again, and the formatting will be gone.
How to Apply or Remove Strikethrough Using Conditional Formatting Click the Home tab on the ribbon. Click the Conditional Formatting groups Highlight Cell Rules button. Click Less Than. In the Format cells that are less than field, enter 0. Click the Format button. Click the Font tab. Check the Strikethrough checkbox.
Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected.
