When a revision involves two or more individual changes on a drawing, each change may be identified by a sequence number enclosed in parentheses preceding the description of the change.
These enable you to slice through buildings, walls, stair framing or other details and give an accurate depiction of materials and structure that are not easily seen otherwise. Cross sections can cut through ceilings, floors and are even used for molding and trim work.
In a typically oriented church (especially of Romanesque and Gothic styles), the crossing gives access to the nave on the west, the transept arms on the north and south, and the choir, as the first part of the chancel, on the east. The crossing is sometimes surmounted by a tower or dome.
The revised drawing revisions will be identified by incrementing the documents associated revision number or letter. For example, the first drawing number will be PV-7E-001 while the second revision will be PV-7E-001-A where the A indicates the new revision.
Any changes made to the blueprints are listed in a revision block thats typically located in the title block or in the top right corner of the actual revised drawing.
The revision block, located in the upper right hand corner, shows details about the changes that were made to roll the revision.
The cross section, as shown on a drawing, is a depiction of the construction component, from the side of the component. The easiest explanation of a cross section is to imagine that the construction component has been cut across its center.
A revision constitues a change or variation to an initially presentedor in-progressdesign concept, and is typically a change of less than 1/4 of the design. A revision is simply meant to be a slight modification or course correction to progress toward the final design.
