The Loan Estimate replaced what was previously known as the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and Truth-in-Lending (TIL) documents.
The promissory note. This document contains the borrowers promise to repay the amount borrowed. If you sign a promissory note, youre personally liable for repaying the loan.
