If you were to print a copy of your document, and ask a friend to proofread it, theyd probably mark the errors in red pen, and write any suggestions they had in the margins. Wouldnt it be easier if you could do that electronically? In Word, you canusing two features called Track Changes and Comments. Im going to turn on track changes right now so I can show you what I mean. To do this, go to the Review tab then click the Track Changes command. Now any changes I make to the document will appear as markup, which is Words answer to the traditional red pen. For example, when I delete text, it doesnt go away it just gets crossed out. When I add more text, it gets underlined. This lets the owner of the document see what changes Ive made before making them part of the final draft. You can also add comments in the margins by selecting the text you want to comment on then clicking the New Comment command. In this example, it would be best to address the letter directly to the hiring

By default, students always have the option to resubmit their Canvas assignments, even after the Due date. However if a student resubmits, they lose all access to any earlier submissions they have made including access to feedback the instructor may have provided.
Depending on your assignment settings, students may have unlimited or limited assignment submission attempts. As an instructor, you can decide how to handle assignment resubmissions. You do have the option to set availability dates for each assignment.
When looking at an assignment - the first file the instructor sees is the latest submission. However, if you have made more than one submission there is a drop down menu where the instructor can see all the submissions and when the were made.
If a student re-submits an assignment, Canvas will still display the original submission date and time. If the assignment is late, it will be highlighted in pink and/or be labeled as late in the Canvas gradebook and Student Context Card.
Navigate into your Assignment item and click the Edit button. In the Assignment setup page, scroll down to the Assign settings. Click the +Add button to add additional assign criteria.
You cant unsubmit. When your teacher sets up the assignment they set how many times you can make corrections. Some assignments you can resubmit over and over and some the first one is the only one. Usually if it is a quiz you only get one chance while others you can resubmit.
Canvas does not allow you to delete student submissions for assignments (e.g., file uploads, student annotations) nor allows you to give a specific student extra attempt(s).
When a student resubmits an assignment, the instructor can grade the new submission and select which graded submission will be used in the gradebook. On an assignment with only one submission, the instructor will see the following information in Canvas Speedgrader: Submission date and status.
