welcome everybody to this month practice group session for the contract administration group so with that it like to give it over to Jim rain and Douglas Freeman for todays presentation welcome everyone were glad to have everyone back for another meeting we will be continuing our discussion today on modifying the contract documents this is the third session that weve discussed this topic just as a brief recap of what we discussed last two meetings we noted that changes arent evitable we need to establish and follow the procedures for making modifications and our contract documents in general modifications must be within the scope of the contract typically our parties must agree to the change there are instances where the owner can direct a change that does not necessarily require that the contractor sign-off and agree on a change order and the architect can make minor changes that do not affect contract costs or time and its done typically within architect supplemental instruction
