hey im going to show you very quickly how to add a new pay rate or change the pay rate for an employee so youll want to navigate to the employee section of work yard and then just click on any of the employees that you want to change now you dont change the existing pay rate because we want to preserve the effective date that you originally set up you actually want to click this button up here that says new pay rate so ill click on new pay rate i need to put in an effective date so im going to put in an effective date of april and im going to change it to hourly 20 im going to skip workers comp for right now give them unpaid break from overtime for now and then add the pay rate and now we have a new pay rate in work yard uh that will will trigger off of so the key is not to edit an existing pay rate its to add a new pay rate hope that helps thanks
