okay now we can officially begin um so thank you everyone for joining for our webinar this afternoon um todays webinar is uh on decoding the leap item record so the um goal for todays webinar um is for us to understand how item record settings um are more than just for like categorizing records and report and uh its to really help show us how they can impact the patron experience uh specifically how these settings can influence circulation placing holds and what the patron sees in the online catalog um so this section was designed with the public services staff in mind um so we wont be doing things like editing item records or making bulk changes um so this session is not looking at how to change item records um but instead to give context to what youre looking at when youre in an item record and when youre working with a patron additionally while all parts of the item record can be found in both the staff client desktop application and the link web application as you could tell
