welcome back today were going to look at look ahead and differentiate just looking ahead and matching with replacing and how that works differently so Ive already cleared my environment and using grep in T sub I think both use this G sub F n library if you guy ran it Ill run it again and load it the first time didnt need to load it just now so if youre following along in the book this is on page 91 and start with Ill load in an example character string to work with Ill be just ABCD ABCD e ABCDE F run that so the first thing Im going to do a grep which is just to match it and not to replace anything and well use the look-ahead which is put in parentheses the question mark equals the e so were going to be searching for the match of ABC where it is before de so we would expect Ill also put in were looking the example string for Pearl equals true so you would expect it to only find this one here I run it a good run the example now well find grip so it finds the string location
