Rightclick anywhere in the pivot, select Pivot Table Table Options, select the Data Tab and Change Number of items to retain per Field to none. refresh the pivot.
In the field heading, type a name for the calculated field and then press Enter. Note: To change or edit the output of a calculated field, select the column. Then, select Fields Modify Expression.
Stop creating calculated columns On the File tab, click Options. Click Proofing. Under AutoCorrect options, click AutoCorrect Options. Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Under Automatically as you work, select or clear the Fill formulas in tables to create calculated columns check box to turn this option on or off.
To edit a calculated field: In the Data pane, right-click the calculated field and select Edit. In the Calculation Editor that opens, you can do the following: Edit the name of the calculated field. Update the formula. Click OK. The view updates to reflect the changes automatically.
Remove the calculated field from a pivot table. Click any cell inside the pivot table. Go to Analyze Calculations Fields, Items Sets Calculated Field. Select the field name you want to remove and click Delete.
To quickly remove a pivot table field, use the shortcut keys ALT + A + R. This will open the Remove Field dialog box, where you can choose which field to remove from the pivot table.
On the Analyze tab, in the Calculations group, click Fields, Items, Sets, and then click Calculated Field or Calculated Item. In the Name box, select the field or item that you want to delete. Click Delete.
Queries are a better alternative to Calculated fields because they do not store the value in a table.
