You can change your GP surgery if you need to. This might be because: you have moved. you have had problems with your current practice.
You can see which ever doctor you want to see in the practice. You are not tied to any particular GP. However, if you have started to see a GP about a particular health issue, then PLEASE GO BACK TO THAT GP if the same health issue continues to become a problem.
1. Talk to staff at the place you got healthcare from. Ask them how to make a complaint. They may say you can talk to someone about the problem write to them fill in a form.
Once you have chosen a GP practice you should: contact them to find out how they will receive your application. download and complete the registration form. email the completed registration form to the practice.
Can you be registered with 2 NHS GP surgeries at the same time? No, you can only be registered with one practice at a time. You might be allowed to sign up with a temporary GP while away for work or study and you cant access your local GP.
This request is done electronically and usually happens within 1 3 days. When your previous GP practice receives the request for your medical records, they arrange for your computerised medical record to be sent to your new GP practice electronically through the NHS National Spine via a process called GP2GP.
