Using the import wizard in Smartsheet is a simple and efficient way to import Word files. Here are the steps to follow: Open Smartsheet and go to the desired sheet where you want to import the Word file. Click on File in the top menu and select Import from the dropdown menu.
Owners, Admins, and Editors on a sheet can add, version, or delete attachments. Anyone with access to the sheet can view and download attachments. You can send an attachment in an email to anyone with a valid email address. System Admins for Enterprise accounts can disable any file attachment options.
In the sheet or report: Click the Attachments icon in the right panel. The attachments panel appears. Check the box next to the attachments you want to download. At the top of the Attachments panel, click Actions and then click Download Files.
Unfortunately, its not possible now, but its an excellent idea! Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasnt been added already) when you have a moment. It might be possible with the Smartsheet API or a 3rd-party service like Zapier.
How you update an attachment depends on where the attachment came from: File uploaded from a computer or mobile device: If the file is attached to the sheet directly, you have to download the attachment and edit the file outside of Smartsheet, and then upload the edited file as a new version.
Select the Attachments icon on the right sidebar. Select the row where you want to attach your file. In the Attachments pane, select Attach Files to Row.
