Those must be set up separately (manually) in Salesforce Setup using a feature called Lead Conversion Field Mapping. In other words, you need to configure the data field map between the Lead, and the objects the Lead is converted to (Account, Contact, Opportunity) so that no data is left behind after conversion.
From the object management settings for leads, go to the fields section, then click Map Lead Fields. For each custom lead field, choose a custom account, contact, or opportunity field into which you want the information inserted when you convert a lead.
You can only convert a Lead to an existing Opportunity if the Account is already available and when you choose an existing Account, you can then select existing Opportunities related to the Account. Only 20 matching Opportunities can show when converting and selecting option existing Opportunities.

When you convert lead records, standard lead fields map to contact, account, person account, and opportunity fields. If you use custom fields, your admin specifies the fields that they map to in your newly created records. This field shows the campaign associated with a lead before conversion.
If the lead is converting to a business account and the user has more than one business record type available say Record Type 1 and Record Type 2 it will default to the business record type selected as Default under the Default Record Type section under Profile-Record Type Settings.
