To assign substitute components: Navigate to the Substitute Components window. Do this by choosing the Substitutes button from the Bills of Material window.

Who can prepare requisitions in Oracle?

You can suggest buyer and supplier information when creating a requisition. Simply provide the appropriate information in the Source Details tabbed region of the Requisitions window. A buyer can then query all requisition lines based on this information to help consolidate purchase orders.

What are substitution items?

A Substitute Item is an item you want to use in place of another Item when an order is fulfilled. If you decide to replace an item with something else (either temporarily or permanently), create a Substitution.
