After making a reservation change request, you can easily check the status of your trip change. Go to Trips and select the reservation you have requested to change. The request will show as pending, accepted or declined.
Hosts do have the ability to alter their cancellation policy at any time. However, if a reservation has already been placed, the cancellation policy cannot be altered. Rather, the new policy will take effect for all future bookings.
Go to Today and select the reservation you want to change. Tap Change reservation. Under Reservation details, go to Dates or Guests and tap Change. Make your changes and tap Save. Under Guest charges, go to Accommodation cost and tap Change. Enter a new amount and tap Save. Review details and tap Send request.
Submit a change request Go to Trips and then click the trip you want to change. Click Change reservation. Change the dates of your stay or the number of guests and click Save. Review your changes, then click Send request. Once you send the request, the Host will receive a notification to approve or decline your request.
To accept an invitation to book or special offer: Go to your Inbox and open your Hosts message. Review the details of your pre-approval or special offer and click or tap Book now. Next, click Reserve and review your payment info. Click or tap Confirm and pay.
Respond to a trip change request Open your message thread with your guest and find Respond to request. If you agree to the changes, theyll be applied automatically, and your guest will be charged or refunded if necessary. Things to know: There are no penalties for declining a request.
As an example, consider a statement like: Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate your booking request at this time. I wish you luck in your search and I hope that you enjoy your vacation.
Please note the Host will have to accept any changes submitted. If your Host doesnt accept, try sending them a message reminding them to review your alteration request.
