A packing slip is used to denote the physical goods being received, where an invoice is the financial document of the order, containing information like how much money each product was sold for, the payment terms, payment method, and date.
To customize a packing slip form, go to Customization Forms Transaction Forms. Click Edit next to Standard Packing Slip. Place a check mark next to each transaction you want to print a packing slip and return form for. Place paper or blank forms in your printer.
To create a packing slip for a new invoice: Click the add icon , then select Invoice. Under Branding, select your packing slip template. Enter the details for the invoice. Save and approve your invoice. Click Print PDF to print your packing slip and invoice.
Go to Account Settings. Select Templates then choose Packing Slips from the left-hand sidebar. Choose whether you will edit an existing template, copy an existing template, or create a New Packing Slip Template (this is a blank template with no pre-existing editable code).
Print a packing slip in QuickBooks Online Select the customers name to display a list of their transactions. From the Transaction List tab, select the box next to each invoice or sales receipt for which you want to print a Packing Slip. Select the Batch actions dropdown, then choose Print packing slip.
