Before deleting data or surveys from Qualtrics be sure you have exported your survey data for any further processing or archiving. Please note: all response data will be permanently deleted!
How Should You End A Survey? A survey should never finish on an open-ended question. You should take the time to thank your audience for taking the time to answer your questions. A good idea is to remind them of the purpose of the survey and how it will benefit them in the long term.
Once you are certain your changes will not affect your data, you can begin editing. Your edits will be saved as a survey version. After the edits are complete, the survey must be republished to make the changes visible to respondents.
Creating Filter Rules Go to the Analyze Results section of your survey. In the Rules section of the left sidebar, click + Filter. Select a filter type. Choose the criteria you want to focus on. Click Apply.
Clearing or Deleting Responses Go to the Analyze Results section of your survey. Click the Individual Responses tab toward the top of the page. In Table view, find the response you want to delete. Click the Delete button on the right side of the table. At the confirmation message, click Delete Response.
You can quickly delete all preview responses at one time by navigating to the Data section in the Data Analysis tab, clicking Add Filter, filtering for the survey preview response type, and selecting all responses to delete.
Open-ended questions begin with why, how, or what and require the respondent to provide more than a single-word answer. Unlike close-ended questions that only need a simple yes or no to answer the question, open-ended questions prompt the respondent to detail their response in a free response format.
Qualtrics will often allow you to undo a change by using Ctrl + z or Cmd + z (for Mac); however, not all actions are undoable.
