this video is just a short extract from the entire course if you wish to see all of the videos from this series at higher quality and in far larger screen size head over to ifskills.com inevitably there will be times when you need to remove a field from a report either because it has now become superfluous or it was placed there by accident so if i no longer want the town city field on my report i can select that field within the detail section and press delete on the keyboard and the field will disappear you have to be very careful that you select the field within the detail section and not the label in the page header for example if i were to select the surname label only in the page header and press delete only the label goes the data is still there luckily there is an undo feature in crystal reports should i wish to bring that heading back

You hide the field, by opening its property dialog, go to the General tab, and then change visible to hidden in the field property dropdown. That should do it. If you want to be double sure, make the field read-only as well. Hope this can help.
To copy the form field and move it to another location on the page, Ctrl-drag it. Tip: To constrain the vertical or horizontal movement as you drag, press and hold Shift.
To move the text box, place the pointer over the line of the bounding box (avoid the selection handles). When the cursor changes to Move pointer , drag the box to the new location. To maintain alignment with the other list items, press Shift as you drag.

If you are not in the form editing mode, choose Tools Prepare Form. In the right-hand pane under Fields or the page view, select the form fields that you want to delete. Right-click and choose To delete, or choose Edit Delete.
