A maintenance agreement (contract), sometimes called a service agreement (contract), is an agreement which requires specific performance of repairing, cleaning, altering, or improving tangible personal property on a regular or irregular basis to ensure the products continued satisfactory operation.
Maintenance agreements typically include clauses referencing: Responsibility: A description of the contractors responsibilities for the term of the agreement. Timescale: The length of the agreement and how it can be terminated. Payment: Payment terms and amounts.
Standard contract templates can seem like a convenient and cost-effective way to draft and review contracts, especially for small businesses or freelancers. However, using them without proper customization and legal advice can expose you to docHub risks, such as liability, disputes, and compliance issues.
Maintenance contracts include service level parameters such as response time and performance of the equipment to be maintained (99 percent network availability, for example). Other provisions of these agreements may include the timeliness and timeframe of services to be rendered and the annual or monthly fee.
The contract should state how much a client will pay for your work and when payment is due. Furthermore, youll want to establish how a client will pay, i.e. hourly, per task, or quarterly lump sum. Additional details like discounts or penalties for late payments should also be included.
An HVAC preventive maintenance plan is the yearly or bi-yearly plan to clean, inspect and otherwise maintain your HVAC system. While different HVAC suppliers offer different maintenance plans, as a facility manager you need to set your own goals in terms of cost, resources and prioritisation.
A facilities or building maintenance contract should contain: Full names and details of both parties. Types of maintenance. Scope of the work. Equipment details. Service schedules. Response times. Service completion times. Payment terms.
The basics of an HVAC service contract. Party details. Scope of work. Pricing and payment information. Termination clause. Indemnification. Service modifications. Laws and ordinances. Date and signature.
