No, there is no Statute of Limitations on a marital settlement agreement. However, completing the agreement promptly is still important, as it will dictate many post-divorce conditions.
A marital separation agreement, also known as a property settlement agreement, is a written contract dividing your property, spelling out your rights, and settling problems such as alimony and custody.
The only way to reopen a divorce case in New Jersey is if one of the parties to a divorce presents strong evidence of proper grounds for reopening a matter.
