Symbol 19: This is the newest symbol that has been added. It applies to mobile equipment such as a forklift or bulldozer. If your business utilizes this equipment and you are required to carry liability coverage you MUST make sure this symbol is listed on your policy.
Liability for property damage applies to any auto as well (symbol 1), but notice medical payments only apply to vehicles specifically listed on the policy (symbol 7).
A common alternative to Symbol 1 on your auto commercial insurance is a combination of Symbols 7, 8 and 9. The benefit of this combination is potentially lower premiums due to coverage extending only to specifically described, hired, and non-owned autos, rather than any auto.

Symbol 7: Scheduled Vehicles The most common type of coverage purchased for Business Auto is Symbol 7 Symbol 7 coverage refers to any scheduled or listed vehicles on your policy. It is like Personal Auto coverage.
7 = Specifically Described Autos. Only those autos that are specifically listed on the policy are covered. The symbol also applies to any trailer while it is towed by a listed vehicle. 8 = Hired Autos Only.
Symbol 2 is defined as Only those autos you own. This includes those autos you acquire ownership of after the policy begins. Under symbol 2 a vehicle acquired during the policy period is covered for the balance of the policy period. It is not covered beyond the policy period unless added to the policy.
Symbols 10 (business auto), 32 (garage), 51 and 52 (truckers), and 72 and 73 (motor carrier) are custom symbols, available through the use of the Covered Autos Designation Symbol (CA 99 54) endorsement, which allows the insurer and named insured to agree to some modified wording that is a better fit in defining the
