hey guys todays video is gonna be a very quick tip video on how to remove stubborn stickers from the covers of your books and I debated whether I should even film this video because my tip is very simple you only need one tool maybe two but it works and when I mentioned it to the girls in New York that I didnt know whether I should even film it they suggested that I did so thats what Im doing now Im using two books that I had on my shelves that have stickers so I can use them as an example the first is wild by Cheryl Strayed as you can see it has that really annoying target sticker right here that they insist on putting on their books and then another sticker in there thats been on there for a while and then I have an older book this is loving the Time of Cholera and it has just an Oprah sticker at the top so Im gonna be using both of these books as examples now to get to the tools you really only need one and that is a blow dryer that is all youre gonna need this is just a ve

Begin by rubbing either mineral oil, baby oil or olive oil onto the residue with a cloth. Allow the oil to soak into the label - between five and 10 minutes should do the trick. Then, using the cloth, wipe across the residue to start removing it. Repeat this process for a second time.
Soak a rag or paper towel in rubbing alcohol. Cover the sticker you want to remove with the alcohol-soaked rag. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. The sticker should wipe clean afterward—but if it doesn't, gently scrape away any remaining residue with a razor scraper.
Apply a small amount of baby oil to the sticker residue and let it sit for 20 minutes. Soak a cotton ball or rag with baby oil and use it to gently rub the surface until the residue is gone. Wipe the surface with a clean cloth or paper towel.
