1. Nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. Soak a rag, paper towel, or cotton ball in rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, lighter fluid, or yes, even cheap vodka. Let it sit on the face of the labels for at least 15 minutes for an easy way to remove labels.
Begin by rubbing either mineral oil, baby oil or olive oil onto the residue with a cloth. Allow the oil to soak into the label - between five and 10 minutes should do the trick. Then, using the cloth, wipe across the residue to start removing it. Repeat this process for a second time.
By spraying the adhesive on the back of your stickers and then letting them dry, you can return your stickers to all their stickiness. This will allow you to then reattach them to wherever they were falling off and they should continue to hold.
Using the heat from a hair dryer or a heat gun can be used to remove labels and other stickers from any surface. Heat up the adhesive until it will be soft again. Then you will be able to slowly peel the sticker off.
Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol Soak a rag or paper towel in rubbing alcohol. Cover the sticker you want to remove with the alcohol-soaked rag. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. The sticker should wipe clean afterward—but if it doesn't, gently scrape away any remaining residue with a razor scraper.
Like most oils and fats, olive oil will dissolve the adhesive holding the sticker to your dishes (coconut oil or canola oil would work, too).
