The operator places the book onto the blade and depresses an electric foot switch, dropping the blade below the glue rollers. A servo motor brings glue pots into contact with the book block, applying a uniform coating of adhesive to the end sheets. Engraved glue applicator rollers ensure precise glue coating, eliminating glue squeeze out. The operator then places the cover with the aid of a cover guide and removes the book. Optional paste attachment allows precise adhesive deposition.
