You find out that you can use Excels TRIM function to remove these additional spaces. You do that and it works 90% of the time. Everything is great until it stops to work. You copy a dataset to your Excel sheet, apply the Trim function like youve always done but this time TRIM doesnt work. (playful sad music) Let me show you what does. To remove ghost formatting: Select all text, either by pressing Ctrl + A in Windows or Cmd + A in MacOS. Go to File and select New. In the new document, go to the Home tab and select the down arrow beneath Paste. Select the paste option with the paintbrush, Keep Source Formatting.
Remove the Default Space Between Paragraphs: Set your cursor to the location of the paragraph spacing. Click on the Line and Paragraph Spacing icon in the Home Ribbon. Select Remove Extra Space to remove the extra space. This has to be done in each document unless you adjust your default settings.
If you want to apply Find and Replace function to remove extra spaces, you can do it by follows: Please press Ctrl + H to display the Find and Replace dialog. Press More button to show more options. After finish the settings, click Replace All to remove all extra spaces between words from the whole document.
You can also remove spaces using the Find/Replace feature in Excel. Click CTRL+F to open the Find dialog box, then click the Replace tab. Enter one space in the Find what: field and leave the Replace with: field empty to remove all spaces.
Click or tap anywhere in the page you want to delete, press Option+⌘+G. In the Enter page number box, type \page. Press Enter on your keyboard, and then select Close. Verify that a page of content is selected, and then press Delete on your keyboard.
