hello everyone so today were going to be going over how to delete a digital signature from your PDF documents from behind the scenes especially if a client has discharged you dont want their certificate to keep coming up you want to be able to remove that okay so youre gonna be starting in any PDF document and youre gonna go to edit and youre gonna go down to preferences okay and youre going to want to make sure that signatures is highlighted and you want to go to identities and trusted certificates and youre gonna hit more okay and now it comes up with the digital ID and trusted certificate settings and so youre gonna want to click on this little icon that has the badge plus icon and the add digital ID box is gonna pop up you want to choose the default which is my existing digital ID from a file and hit next next its going to have the file name and password so you just want to be able to hit browse on that the next option it gives you different options of certificate names a

Remove digital signatures from Word or Excel Open the document or worksheet that contains the visible signature you want to remove. Right-click the signature line. Click Remove Signature. Click Yes.
To cancel a document, and any attached invoices or subscriptions (if applicable), where some signatures have been obtained but not all, click the dropdown menu and select Cancel Document. If all signatures have been obtained, click the drop down menu next to the relevant document and select Permanently Delete Document.
To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature. If you got a signed PDF, you can request the signer to remove the signature and share the PDF or send an unsigned copy of the PDF.

If you have forgotten the digital id password, then you can detach the digital id. Navigate to Edit - Preferences (Win), or Acrobat - Preferences (Mac), then select Signatures - Identities Trusted Certificates - More, Click on Digital ID Files, select the one you want to detach, and click Detach File.
You can only remove your own signature from the PDF. If you cannot remove your signature from PDF, try to update your Digital ID in the PDF editor. Or, your PDF might be locked for additional security. If it is, you need to unlock it, and then remove your signature.
Open the Tools Panel. Expand the Forms section on the Tools Panel. Click the Edit button. Right mouse click on the signature field and then select Delete from the pop-up menu. Click the Close Form Editing button on the toolbar. Click the Save File toolbar button.
