Most of these forms have required fields which means the user must fill these fields in order to submit the form successfully.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
In the List Settings page, Scroll down to the Columns section and Click on a column that you would like to make required. Scroll down to the Additional Column Settings and to select Yes to make the field required or No to make it optional. Select OK to save your changes.
Disable SharePoint Text Field on Edit Form using JQuery Open your list. From the above ribbon, Click on the List tab. In Customize List, Click on Form Web Parts. Select Default Edit Form to customize the default edit form.

To eliminate the Company field requirement on Leads Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
Delete a site column from SharePoint Select Settings, Site information, and then View all site settings. Under Web Designer Galleries, select Site columns. Scroll to the site column you want to delete and select the name. Select Delete. If youre sure you want to delete the site column permanently, select OK.
Required fields should be indicated with either a symbol or text, not just color. When providing an indicator for a required field, it should be placed right before the form field. This allows a screen reader to read the indicator to a screen reader user right before the user activates the field.
How to remove the title column from the SharePoint Online list? Navigate to the list settings Click on the Title column under the Columns section. Set the Require that this column contains information to No and save your changes.
