so today Im going to talk about franchise and non franchise state distribution agreements and before I do so I wanted to just briefly talk about the three-tier system which Im sure many of you already know that in the beverage alcohol industry we have three tiers in which we sell products so the first tier is the supplier manufacturer in Pierre the second is wholesaler distributor and Im going to use both terms interchangeably and then last is the retailer and of course consumers purchase their goods from the retailer so today when were talking about the distribution agreements were going to be talking about the supplier or distributor level so just by way of background back in 1933 after the repeal of prohibition what happen was that beverage alcohol reverted back to the individual states so the states could decide how they could distribute the product so there were two different categories we have open States which allows private individuals to be licensed and actually distribut

Go to Setup | Object and Fields | Object Manager | Lead.In Classic: Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
On the page layout Click on Setup. Go to Quick Find and enter Object. Choose the object. Under the Page Layouts section, Click on Edit on the page layout that you use on the object. Click the wrench icon beside the custom field that you will make required. Select the Required checkbox. Click on Ok, then click on Save.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
Steps - Go to setup - click object manager - find and choose contact - click fields and relationships - click the drop-down (extreme left side of the row) - click edit - Scroll down the page - In general options, uncheck Always require a value in this field in order to save a record - click save.
(Note: You cant remove required fields, theyll always have to be displayed on edit and create).
Click on Insert Field and scroll until you find the Current User selection. From there, click on the Bypass VR field. The field will now show in your validation rule. The validation should trigger when the field is FALSE.
Steps - Go to setup - click object manager - find and choose contact - click fields and relationships - click the drop-down (extreme left side of the row) - click edit - Scroll down the page - In general options, uncheck Always require a value in this field in order to save a record - click save.
