First, if its a custom field and youre just trying to get rid of it, select Fields Relationships from the left-hand column. Then, find the field youd like to delete and click the menu arrow on the right-side of its row. Then select Delete from the drop-down menu.
To remove the required attribute, select the element and call the removeAttribute() method on it, passing it required as a parameter. The removeAttribute method will remove the required attribute from the element.
Click on the gear icon then Setup Object Manager. Choose the object Fields Relationships. Select the custom field that you will make required. Click on Edit and under General Options select Required. Click on Save.
Select Fields Relationships. Select the non-supported Salesforce field you have identified earlier. Click Edit. Under General Options, ensure that is it not set as Required.
Inorder to remove the standard field from view, Go to the fields which you want to hide and select there link and select the Set Field-Level Security button and uncheck the Visible checkbox for the profiles you do not want to see those particular fields.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
Setup Customize Leads Page Layout Edit removes the fields from the Detail page layout.
Steps - Go to setup - click object manager - find and choose contact - click fields and relationships - click the drop-down (extreme left side of the row) - click edit - Scroll down the page - In general options, uncheck Always require a value in this field in order to save a record - click save.
Some users may want to remove the Company field requirement on Leads.In Lightning: Go to Setup | Object and Fields | Object Manager | Lead. Click Page Layouts. Click the desired Page Layout name. Click the wrench icon for the Company field. Uncheck the Required checkbox and click Ok. Save the Layout.
