Select the profile you want to change. Click Object Settings and select the object for which you want to update the field settings. Click Edit. Under Field Permissions, for each field, specify the kind of access you want for users with this profile, and save your settings.
Set Field Permissions in Profiles From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, then select Profiles. Select a profile. In the Field-Level Security section, click View next to the object you want to modify, and then click Edit. Specify the fields access level and save your work.
You can select fields in field access for field list view. If you want enable/disable permission click hyper link editable/hidden, you will get below screen. here you can select field level security at profile level and you can select page layout options also.
From Setup, open Object Manager, and then in the Quick Find box, enter the name of the object containing the field. Select the object, and then click Fields Relationships. Select the field you want to modify. Click Set Field-Level Security. Specify the fields access level. Save your changes.
You will want to click on the Create transition and select Validator link. Find the Validator that requires the field, open and ensure it is the Approver field then remove it.
To eliminate the Company field requirement on Leads Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
The field-level security overrides the page layout, so the field remains read-only. You can define field-level security in either of these ways. After setting field-level security, you can: Organize the fields on detail and edit pages by creating page layouts.
