End User License Agreements (EULAs) are a standard component of software today, often overlooked as users hastily click "agree" without reading them. Essentially, a EULA is a contract that outlines what users can and cannot do with the software, primarily aimed at preventing unauthorized copying. Initially emerging in the 1980s, EULAs have since evolved into complex documents that can be overwhelming, resembling a “34 layer nacho dip.” While they may seem tedious, these agreements are important legal documents that define the relationship between software users and providers.
