The sed command line utility helps to easily handle this. A single-line sed command can remove quotes from the start and end of the string. The above sed command executes two expressions against the variable value. The first expression 's/^"//' will remove the starting quote from the string.
Try String#replace(). It will replace all occurrence of single ' with double ''.
Removing double quotes from string in C++ We can do this by using erase() function.
Use the String. replace() method to replace double with single quotes, e.g. const replaced = str. replace(/"/g, "'"); . The replace() method will return a new string where all occurrences of double quotes are replaced with single quotes.
Single quotes need to be escaped by backslash in single-quoted strings, and double quotes in double-quoted strings.
Sometimes column values in an R data frame have single quote associated with them and to perform the analysis we need to remove that quote. Therefore, to remove single quote from string column, we can use gsub function by defining the single quote and replacing it with blank(not space) as shown in the below examples.
s = s. Replace(@"""", @"\"""); In the first example the " has to be escaped with a backslash as it would otherwise end the string. Likewise, in the replacement string \\ is needed to yield a single backslash by escaping the escape character.
In your case ## and %% are operators that extract part of the string. ## deletes longest match of defined substring starting at the start of given string. %% does the same, except it starts from back of the string.
Your problem is line[i] = '\0'; - it terminates the string. If you want to remove characters from a C string, you need to hold two indices - one for reading and one for writing, loop over the read index reading each character, and write only the ones you want to keep using the second index.
Remove(indexOfLast, 1);
