My name is Stu. Im a volunteer at the emergency department at Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria. Ive been volunteering here about 16 years. I have about 6,000 hours of accrued volunteer time in the department. The things we do when were here, is we, uh, move patients from triage back to the examining room in the pods. We make sure that they are staffed with plenty of wheelchairs and beds. When I retired I needed to do something. So I, my daughter worked here, and so she said, dad you gotta volunteer somewhere. So I came here and uh, started in the emergency room and Ive been in the emergency department ever since. So, about 16 years ago. I really enjoy working down here. I enjoy the people I work with. I enjoy helping people out that are in hard times. I think its just a really, really good program to get involved in. Uh, Ive been here a long, long time, I continue to do that. And its a rewarding program.
