The Python round() method rounds a number to a specified number of decimal places. By default, round() rounds a number to zero decimal places.
How do you represent 0.5 in binary? Multiply the 0.5 by 2 : 0.5 2 = 1.0 . Since the result is 1 , add 1 to the binary fraction: 0.1 . The remaining decimal part of the number is zero; thus, the representation is complete!
We can remove decimal places in Python using the truncate() function from the math library. This function takes a float value and removes the decimal part from the same, returning the integer value.
Approach: Traverse the binary number from left to right. Find the least redundant 0 bit, as this bit will have the least effect on the resultant binary number. Skip this bit, or remove it. The rest of the bits give the maximum value binary number.
