First check out Import Sets if you havent already. Once you have your field that you would like to add items to right click on it and show choice list. You will see a list view of the choices. ServiceNow Community. Discussions. Developer. Developer forum. import choice list from a file.
Options can be added to a choice list by using the addOption function call gform. addOption(, , , ); Note that the targetIndex parameter is a numeric, zero-based value that allows you to specify the point in the choice list where an option should be inserted.
removeOption(state,state1);. This will remove the option only if it is not currently set on the record. If its set then it will be displayed else it will be removed. If you again set it to any other state again it will be removed.
Go to System Definition Choice Lists from Navigation filter. Filter the choices based on your selection criteria. Select all the choices and then click on Add to update set option from the options. Then it will update the choices to your current update set.
Removing/Adding Options You can remove options from a choice list by using the following function call gform. removeOption(, ); Here are a couple of practical examples
The gform. clearValue() and gform.Details Go to the form and do a Right-click - Configure - Form Layout. Scroll all the way down in the Selected bucket to the Activities (filtered) item and remove it from the Selected bucket. Additional comments now act as a regular non-journal field.
To set up a choice list for a Category field: Navigate to Incident Create New. Right-click the Category label and select Personalize Choices. In the new item field, add [newitem] and press Enter. Click Save. To view, open the Category choice list and scroll down to the [newitem] created.
