A common question in many of the trainings I teach is: Should I mark the required fields in a form? If most fields in the form are required, should we still mark them? The short answer is: yes. Its best to have such a specification next to every single required field instead of just having a message such as, All fields are required, or All fields are required unless otherwise indicated at the top of the page or no message at all. Most of the time, people dont read small or even large font instructions at the top of a form. When they see a form, they often just jump into filling it. Even when people read such instructions, they might forget the instructions if they happen to be interrupted while they fill out the form. You might think that it will be more efficient to just mark the optional fields, since there are fewer. Unfortunately, to determine that a field is required, people will have to scan the entire form and check for any optional fields. That is not going to happen

You just have to use the required html attribute inside your web page and when you will run the validateStep function, it will ignore all fields without the required attribute. How exactly? so I replace from $(#formElem). children(:nth-child(+ parseInt(step) +)).
Automatic HTML Form Validation
To set the required attribute: Select the element. Use the setAttribute() method to set the required attribute. The setAttribute method will add the required attribute to the element.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
To remove the required attribute, select the element and call the removeAttribute() method on it, passing it required as a parameter. The removeAttribute method will remove the required attribute from the element.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
Required is a jQuery validation keyword which is used to validate a textbox so that it wont allow empty when submit the form. But in case if we dynamically dont want to validation then we need to remove that attribute using removeAttr() function. Similarlly we can add Attribute by using attr() function.
Go to customization List, Records Fields Item fields . Edit that custom field and on the Validation Defaulting tab you can uncheck the mandatory field and then just save. :) Save this answer.
