You can delete most lines or shapes from a drawing by simply selecting them and then hitting the Delete or Backspace key.
Removing Part of a Stroke with the Scissor Tool Click the two points to indicate the part of the stroke that you want to remove. Select the Selection Tool ( ) from the toolbar or press the keyboard shortcut (v). Click the part that you cut with Scissors Tool and press the delete or backspace key.
You can erase straight lines by clicking where you want to start erasing, and then clicking where you want to finish erasing. Press Ctrl if you want to constrain the lines angle. You can also erase an area of a selected object by double-clicking the area with the Eraser tool.
