hi guys its Demi here from Southern Cross yachting um today Im going to talk to you about setting your lines to slip or preparing a boat or a yacht to leave the dock so putting a little bit of time and preparation into your departure is really crucial and important to really take the stress out of uh docking so whether youre leaving the dock or arriving this is all part of docking and a little bit of preparation goes a long way so just a kind of few hints and tips Im going to talk you through today hopefully well be useful to you in the future so the first thing is when youre getting ready you want to make sure that youre able to single up your lines in a manner that youre able to slip them from the from the boat itself so theres a couple of terms there that we just use so singling up means I dont know if you can see the lines on this yacht here are training Yachts but we have four different lines we have a bow line a Stern line and then two Springers coming up to the middle
