Use the below steps to delete the first line from a file. Open file in a read and write mode ( r+ ) Read all lines from a file. Move file pointer at the start of a file using the seek() method. Truncate the file. Write all lines from a file except the first line.
Removing the first line from an input file using the sed command is pretty straightforward. The sed command in the example above isn't hard to understand. The parameter '1d' tells the sed command to apply the 'd' (delete) action on line number '1'.
When text is displayed, goto top menu. Choose "Text > Delete ..." After you delete SAP standard text, exit from screen using F3 Back command.
