Does vinegar remove ink from leather? Yes, if youre looking for how to remove pen from leather, vinegar can help. Mix a solution of one part white vinegar and one part water. When removing the ink with the solution, rub gently using a soft cloth.
Use Acetone Nail polish remover contains acetone, which is an effective way of removing ink stains from your dryers drum. Soak a few cotton balls or a soft cloth with nail polish remover and vigorously rub the stained areas.
Use a Q-Tip soaked in a solvent like brake fluid, acetone, or rubbing alcohol to lift ink out of the page. If chemicals dont work, try carefully rubbing the ink off with an eraser, razor blade, or even a fine-grit sander. If the ink just wont come out, cover it with correction fluid or paper.
For the washer or dryer drum, the same rubbing or isopropyl alcohol that you use for first aid will remove any ink remaining in your washer or dryer tub. Use an old white towel or sponge dampened with the alcohol to remove the ink. It may take several applications and some elbow grease to remove all the ink.
The best tool to use to remove ink from your dryer is a magic eraser. (Rubbing alcohol might actually work more effectively, but you dont want to use anything flammable to clean your dryer!) A handy way to use magic eraser is to wet it with water and rub over the ink stain.
Make a paste with powdered laundry detergent and very warm water. Apply the paste to a soft cloth or apply a liquid, nonflammable household cleaner to the stained area. Rub with the soft cloth until all excess dye and stains are removed. Thoroughly wipe drum with a damp cloth.
Both nail polish remover (acetone) and rubbing alcohol (isopropanol) are able to pull most common inks away from paper in minutes. Similarly, a non-polar dye would require a non-polar solvent (e.g. toluene or a similar hydrocarbon).
But since nail polish remover includes acetone, its highly flammable. To reduce to risk of a fire, you want to make sure that your dryer is unplugged and cool before starting this project. When youre done, use soap and water to remove any leftover nail polish remover.
