hi my name is Bree Clark and Im a software expert today Im going to show you how to remove column headings from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in the spreadsheet on my screen you can see all of these column headings are visible ABCDE what we can do though is go to the view ribbon and in the show area deselect by clicking the headings checkbox and now those column headings and row headings 1 2 3 etc disappear and whats neat is this actually gets saved so if I save my spreadsheet and then close it and then reopen it I will see those headings are still gone if I want to show them again I would just go to view and click the headings checkbox to reenable those my name is Bree Clark Im a software expert and I just showed you how to hide column headings in Microsoft Excel

Just follow these steps: Open your document and go to the Insert tab. Select Header from the navigation bar. Choose Remove Header from the drop-down menu. Your header is now gone!
Clear formatting from text Select the text that you want to return to its default formatting. In Word: On the Edit menu, click Clear and then select Clear Formatting. In PowerPoint: On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting .
Place your cursor in the heading. On the Home tab, click the arrow in the Paragraph group. In the Paragraph dialog box, click the checkbox next to Collapsed by default.
The only way you get rid of them is to change the text from having an outline level to having a level of body text. Probably the simplest way to do that is to click in the paragraph without selecting anything and apply the Normal or the Body Text style to the text.
How do I remove a Collapsible heading? # You can delete a Collapsible heading like any other block click on the block menu and select Delete.
Go to Insert Header Footer. On the top right side of the document, select Options Remove Headers Footers.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
