Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section.
Remove headers To remove headers from a document, select the Insert tab at the top of the window. Then click the tool labeled Header and select the option for Remove Header.
Go to Insert Header Footer. On the top right side of the document, select Options Remove Headers Footers.
In the Header and Footer Tools Design Section, and select different first page then create your header in the first page and it wont copy to the rest. Create multiple headers/footers using section breaks | Place cursor at beginning of page where you want the headers to change. From the top menu, select Layout.
Adding or removing headers in Microsoft Word is easy. To delete a header, go to the Insert tab. Then, press the Header button and select Remove Header from the drop-down menu. This will get rid of the header from your document.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
How to remove a header or footer in Google Docs Open the document in Google Docs that you want to remove the header or footer from. Lets assume we are removing the header for this example. In your document, double-click on some text in the header. Click Options in the banner. Click Remove header.
