The following directories are set by default: /usr/share/fonts. /usr/share/X11/fonts/Type1. /usr/share/X11/fonts/TTF. /usr/local/share/fonts. ~/. fonts.
In Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization. Click or remove a font. Right-click the font you want to remove, and then click Delete.
Remove fonts Select the font. Choose File Remove. Font Book moves the font to the Trash, and the font no longer appears in the font menus of your apps.
Remove fonts that you dont use In Control Panel, type Fonts in the search box at the top right. Under Fonts, click Preview, delete, or show and hide fonts. Select the font that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
Go to C:\Windows\Fonts (or Start Menu Control Panel Appearance and Personalization Fonts), right click on a font, and select Delete. If the font is protected, you will receive an error message saying [X] is a Protected System Font and cannot be deleted.
I like to keep my harddrive clean, so I want to delete anything that isnt absolutely necessary. As long as I dont delete the fonts from the Font folder in the Control Panel, are my fonts going to work? Yes you can.
To remove fonts installed on User directory: Run Files. Go to ~/. local/share/fonts/. There, you should see files with . ttf or . otf extensions. Find the fonts you want to delete. For example, if you installed Amiri Quran then want to delete it, then select AmiriQuran. Repeat steps above to remove another fonts.
Go to C:\Windows\Fonts (or Start Menu Control Panel Appearance and Personalization Fonts), right click on a font, and select Delete. If the font is protected, you will receive an error message saying [X] is a Protected System Font and cannot be deleted.
From your phones Settings, tap Application Manager All tab. Find and tap the font you want to uninstall. On its App info screen, tap Uninstall.
But the more fonts you have, the longer it takes the system to load (though processor speed and amount of installed RAM are also issues here). So it is not a bad idea to rid yourself of fonts you know you will never use.
