hi this is Liam from inside Markham guru and today were going to be looking at how to remove problematic and duplicate fonts firstly we need to launch font book which is in your Applications folder then select all fonts as you can see next is some of them there is a yellow warning symbol by clicking on the font in question we can see that in this instance there are duplicate copies of the installed font now again check the integrity of all the fonts installed on this computer select all the fonts then go to file validate fonts in this case there were 26 fonts with issues if we change the viewing option to warnings or errors it shows which fonts are problematic and the Associated reason in most of these cases they are due to duplicate installations I would like to remove all the problematic fonts so Im going to check select all fonts and then hit remove checks whilst I removed all the fonts displaying an issue you could have gone through manually and I only checked and remove certain

To erase parts of the text, you need to convert the text to an outline, for which the eraser tool will work. However, this is a one-way street: Once you have convert the text to an outline, it is no longer editable as text. If you need to edit the text, be sure to do it before converting it for erasure.
Separating Text in Illustrator – Method 1 Type > Create Outlines will convert the text object to vector shapes, then each shape can be manipulated. Object > Expand will convert text in an envelope to vector shapes, which can then be manipulated individually.
Remove fonts that you don't use In Control Panel, type Fonts in the search box at the top right. Under Fonts, click Preview, delete, or show and hide fonts. Select the font that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
(Command sudo find / -name "*noto* is your friend). To get the package owning a special font use: sudo dpkg-query -S To remove all noto font use: sudo dpkg --list |awk '/fonts-noto/{print $2}' | sudo xargs dpkg --remove.
Follow the steps: Go to your home folder. Press Ctrl + H or (Menu → View → Show Hidden Files). Go to . fonts . Delete fonts you don't want. Restart your computer.
To remove fonts installed on System directory: Run Files. Go to /usr/share/fonts/. Right-click empty area > Open in Terminal. Terminal will open at that directory. Find the fonts you want to remove with basic command lines. Carefully use sudo and rm commands to delete that fonts.
Go to C:\Windows\Fonts (or Start Menu → Control Panel → Appearance and Personalization → Fonts), right click on a font, and select "Delete". If the font is protected, you will receive an error message saying "[X] is a Protected System Font and cannot be deleted."

The Gnome Font Manager will not see them so cannot be used manage them. To remove the unwanted fonts you need to move or delete the ones you don't want. Then run the following command: sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig. Reboot. Yes I know Linux is not windows, but ing to other folks it's necessary.
Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Basic Fonts (Western) > set fonts as required.
