Since invoices are legally binding documents, canceling them must be done correctly by issuing a credit memo. A credit memo, also known as a credit note, is a document thats issued from a business to a customer to cancel all or part of a sale. Its also used to document a refund.
A credit note allows you to add notes as to what happened and to control the date of the credit so you can record the credit in a different date than the invoice. Void treats the invoice as if it never existed. Your choice, however, if the invoice period is locked and reported, use a credit note.
Select Templates. Right-click the invoice template you want to delete. Choose Delete Template. Click OK to confirm the deletion.

Right-click any of the quantity or amount fields (such as Quantity, UnitAmount or InvoiceTotal) and select Toggle Field Codes. In the field code view: Add #s after 0.00 to increase decimal places. For example, to show four decimal places, change #,##0.00;(#,##0.00) to #,##0.00##;(#,##0.00##).
