In Acrobat or Reader, the signature of a certified or signed document is valid if you and the signer have a trust relationship. The trust level of the certificate indicates the actions for which you trust the signer. You can change the trust settings of certificates to allow specific actions.
You may be using an old version of your PDF reader that doesnt support e-signatures, even though the newer versions do. Check your PDF softwares settings for an auto-update function or visit the developers website to download the latest version.
When applying a certified signature without a field the signature can be either visible or invisible. Invisible signatures are stored using the same encryption only there is no visual representation of the signature on any of the documents pages.
Provided the document isnt locked, you can then remove your own signature from the PDF by simply right-clicking the signature and choosing the Clear Signature option. This should remove the signature, allowing you to edit or re-sign the PDF.
This can be done by following the steps below: Open the PDF document in docHub. Select the Prepare Form tool. Select the form field(s) to unlock. Open the form field properties window. Uncheck Locked checkbox in bottom-left corner. Uncheck Read Only checkbox. Re-check Locked checkbox and select Close
Click on the Signature Properties button to check signature properties. In the signature Properties window click Show Signers Certificate button. Following screen will be displayed once you click on it. Initially you will get the summary of the Digital Signature in the certificate viewer window.
